Developer Panattoni in cooperation with the investor Accolade completed the shell in the first phase of a new distribution center for Tchibo in Cheb, North Bohemia. The retailer plans to serve the CEE region and south Germany from the new center and wants to hire 350 employees. The Tchibo facility, located at Panattoni Park Cheb, currently stretches across 39,000 sqm and will be extended to 73,000 sqm in the second phase. Operation will start by the end of 2016 and the second phase is scheduled for completion in mid-2017. The facility’s costs are expected to run to €60m, and Accolade plans to keep it long-term. Colliers advised Tchibo on the lease.
