Croatia’s exports increased by 3.4 percent y-o-y to approximately €5.82bn in the first six months of 2016, while imports were up by 4.1 percent to €9.6bn, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
The trade deficit was €3.78bn for the period, up 5.3 percent y-o-y. Exports to the EU increased by 2.9 percent in H1, while imports from the EU rose by 5.5 percent. Germany, Italy and Slovenia remain Croatia’s most important trading partners.
