Croatia’s economy grew by 2.8 percent y-o-y and by 0.6 percent q-o-q in the second quarter, according to data released by the national statistical office (DZS).
The performance was driven by increased household consumption and export growth, which was weaker than before but still the most significant component of the Croatian economy, said DZS head Marko Kristof. There was also an unexpected growth in state consumption, with investments increasing for the fourth consecutive quarter, reaching a 6.3-percent growth rate.
