Lordship agrees with Prague 7 on Palác Stromovka

25 August 2016

Lordship and city officials finally came to an agreement on the Palác Stromovka project in Prague 7. Councillors approved the new design of the mixed-use project on Veletržní street as well as new lease conditions. The developer has been renting the site from the municipality for a decade. The new design by ADNS architects respects the location and meets requirements set by Prague conservationists. The shopping center will be replaced by a city building with windows and shops accessible from the street. The developer gave up on plans to include a five-story office cylinder and agreed to office space across two full floors. Local residents will have access to 150 parking spaces for CZK 20 per night. The scheme will also include a medical center and a kindergarten. The new design will require a new planning permit for the office component. In return, Prague 7 promised to lower the annual rent during construction to CZK 500,000 from CZK 5m and extend the lease term to 99 years from completion.
