The unemployment rate in Bulgaria fell 1.5 percent y-o-y to 8 percent in the second quarter, according to the National Statistics Institute. The unemployment rate for people between 15 and 29 years was 10.9 percent for the three-month period, falling to 8.8 percent for men and 7.2 percent for women. Of the total, 12.9 percent of those without jobs in Q2 had higher education, while 48.9 percent had upper secondary education and 38.2 percent had lower secondary education.
