The property investment and developer U&I has secured a contract with Parkdale Investments in the amount of GBP 95m for a mixed-used regeneration project in North East London. The Forest Works site on Blackhorse Road has an area of 12,140 sqm and has the potential to add 300 houses and 510 sqm of commercial space into the area. Blackhorse Road has recently become an attractive area for investors with an estimated 2,500 new homes being built in the next 10 years. U&I have said that the initial planning application is to be submitted in early 2017 and the company intends on working closely on the project with the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
