Chemkostav, PKB invest, Pro – Tender guilty of forming cartel

Chemkostav, PKB invest and Pro-Tender were found guilty by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office of forming a cartel in a 2011 tender to build an urgent care pavilion at a hospital in Košice. The office said the companies coordinated their bids in the tender, violating competition rules. Chemkostav was fined €2,206,706. PKB invest was fined €327,668, and Pro – Tender was fined €13,177. The companies may not take part in public tenders for the next three years. Both PKB invest and Pro – Tender plan to appeal the decision.
