German e-commerce giant Zalando is entering Poland, according to the daily Puls Biznesu, with plans to open €200m logistic center in the town of Gryfino. The investment is expected to add 3,000 jobs to the local market, according to the Puls Biznesu daily. The center will be built on a 21.5 ha plot the online retailer is about to acquire, adding 130,000 sqm of warehouse space to the market. The company refused to confirm the reports, claiming to be in talks with “various local structures in different parts of Europe, including Poland.” Katarzyna Heller from Zalando says that while the company is currently working on expanding its logistics network in Europe, a final decision on the location hasn’t been made yet.
