Former Polish PM joins Echo Polska Properties

11 August 2016

Poland’s former prime minister and a former president of the country’s National Bank
Marek Belka is joining Echo Polska Properties (EPP) as an independent non-executive director. Belka said that numerous economic indicators demonstrate how Poland’s real estate market currently provides the biggest potential for growth, including a forecast that its GDP will expand 3.5 percent in 2017.

EPP is set to enter the Luxembourg and Johannesburg stock markets in the next two months. The move would add new potential sources of financing for EPP’s operations. Formed by the S.A. Reit fund and the Polish developer Echo, EPP manages assets worth €1.2bn, including six office projects and ten retail schemes which represent 72 percent of the portfolio.
