Prague looking for site of future HQ building

3 August 2016

The City of Prague’s lease contract for the Skoda Palace in central Prague doesn’t run out until 2028, but its leadership is already looking for a place to build its own headquarters to move into. CeskeNoviny.cz claims the search has come up with three potential locations where the city owns land, the most likely of which is near the Na Knizeci bus station in Prague 5. That’s where planning by Sekyra Group is now underway for a huge new multifunctional zone on a 210,000 sqm plot for which the developer has a purchase option from the city. Two other Prague 8 locations, one near the Florenc metro station and another in Palmovka, have been considered but are not likely candidates.
