The unemployment rate in Hungary is on course to fall below 5 percent in the coming months, according to the Ministry of National Economy. The jobless jobless rate dropped by 1.8 percent y-o-y to 5.1 percent in the second quarter. The average unemployment rate in the EU is 8.5 percent. Hungary has the fifth lowest unemployment rate in the EU. There are currently about 50,000 available jobs in the country, according to the Ministry of National Economy.
