The Hexagon Group have closed on the purchase of 28 East 13th Street in Union Square for $4.85 million. The three-story 2,800 sqf mixed use building has 1,288 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 400 square feet in the mezzanine. The upper floors, which are currently vacant, will be converted to residential apartments. The building is located in the heart of Union Square with leading neighboring national retailers including Whole Foods Market, The Children’s Place, Best Buy, Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe’s, and American Eagle Outfitters. RKF Vice President Brian Segall and Associate Chris Masi represented both the owner, Yamaguchi LLC, and the buyer.
“This location in Union Square represents a fantastic opportunity for a food purveyor to join some of the most popular retailers and fashion brands in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic neighborhoods, where New Yorkers and tourists alike go to shop and dine,” said RKF Vice President Brian Segall.
