Deutsche Börse makes changes for merger with London Stock Exchange

13 July 2016

The German stock exchange Deustche Börse has said that they intend on lowering approval obstacles for the merge with London Stock Exchange. The shareholders of Deustche Börse, who currently possess at least 75 percent of the shares in the company, can approve the merger. Due to the current shareholder structure, there has been an increasing need to make alterations in order to gain a majority approval of the merge. American and Russian authorities have approved the merger, which has been valued at USD 27bn. European regulators are yet to agree with it.
