Romanian exports total €23.24bn in first five months

Romanian exports totaled around €23.24bn between January and May, while imports amounted to about €27bn, according to provisional data published by the National Statistics Institute.

The trade deficit during the five-month period was €3.76bn, up €1.196bn y-o-y. Exports totaled €4.672bn in May, up 4.1 percent y-o-y, while imports increased by 12.2 percent to €5.652bn, resulting in a deficit of about €980m.
