The Macedonian government created 2,400 jobs in the country’s poorly developed eastern regions over the past eight years, according to the state’s employment agency. The jobs were mostly added to Rankovce and Kriva Palanka.
“A large number of job seekers were also employed, and 700 people found jobs after the paid internship programs. We also had 456 people start new businesses through self-employment grants. Professional orientation and training also helped 270 and 360 people find jobs,” said Grozde Gjorgievski from the Kriva Palanka employment office.
