Skanska completes four bridges in Norway

28 June 2016

Skanska CZ has finalized construction of a railway corridor connecting Larvik and Porsgrunn in Norway. The track crosses a nature reserve at Vassbotn lake. The Czech construction company built a series of four bridges, two crossings for deer and two support walls. The 425 m Hallevannetbrua bridge is the key for the entire corridor as it enables trains to travel over it at 250 km/hour. Work on the project worth NOK 1,5bn (€160m) started in mid-2013.
