Geis started construction of two central logistic hubs: one in Modletice, Czech Republic, and the other in Lodz, Poland. The company plans to expand its regional network of logistics hubs to Ostrava, Prostějov and Bratislava in the next two years as part of an investment of CZK 1bn. The 120,000 sqm logistics center in Lodz will open first and will be followed by opening of a 6,000 sqm hub in Modletice outside Prague by the end of the year. The center will be equipped with an automatic sorter capable of handling 16,000 parcels per hour.
