Croatia’s CPI, down 1.8 percent in May

Croatia’s prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price indices (CPI), decreased 1.8 percent in May, compared to May 2015, according to data published by the state statistics office. Compared to April, CPI increased 0.2 percent.

Food prices (27.44 percent of CPI) decreased y-o-y in May by 0.3 percent. Housing and utilities (17.05 percent of CPI) increased by 3.3 percent y-o-y, while the transport segment (12.33 percent of CPI) grew by 7.7 percent y-o-y.
