30 May 2016

The Norwegian company Firmus Group will invest up to €400m on the development of a resort hotel and spa project in the town of Mielno, according to Alex Kloszewski, Managing Partner of Hotel Professionals. His company signed a ten-year contract with Firmus to support the investment process on the project called Duna City. The project will be completed in two phases, and is being driven by three private investors acting through Firmus, while financing will be provided by major international lenders acting through their local divisions.

“The first tranche will finance the current phase of the project, comprising two hotels, congress and conference rooms, as well as a water park and 400 apartments,” Kloszewski told CIJ. He added that 300 of the apartments have already been sold, with nearly 95 percent of them going to Polish buyers.
