According to a study by Chief Executive, Florida was ranked as the second best U.S. state to do business in. This is the 12th year the survey has been conducted, and it enlisted the opinions of 513 CEOs across the county. Florida ranked in the top half in each of the three categories: no. 7 in taxation and regulation, no. 9 in living environment and no. 23 in workforce quality. Regionally, it placed in the top six in each of those categories. Texas was ranked number one with North Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana rounding out the top five.
According to the study, “Florida steadily edges up in the qualitative measures. The Sunshine State added 1 million private-sector jobs over the last five years, cut taxes 50 times and got rid of 4,200 burdensome regulations.”
