The Palace Henrique Mendonça/Casa Ventura Terra, in Lisbon, will be sold by the State to the Aga Khan Foundation for €12m. The building is currently occupied by the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Economics but it’s set to become the new headquarters of the Aga Khan Foundation in Portugal. The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is a 60 year old institutions that has been present in Portugal since 1983. It works with young and underprivileged people promoting early childhood education, social exclusion and poverty reduction.
