A former barracks of the Novocherkassk Regiment in St. Petersburg will be transformed into a business cluster. The company 3S Development has invested more than RUB 2bn in restructuring the complex. It plans to complete the first phase of work in the spring of 2017, and to complete the second cluster by 2018. The company’s partner in the project is Artplay.
During the reconstruction, the existing historical buildings will be adapted for modern use, though the work should preserve the original facades and other architectural elements. The space will be encircled by Krasnogvardeyskaya Square, the Okhta river embankment, Pomya,lovsky Street and Novocherkassk Avenue to create a total area of 6.5 ha, while the building area created in this space will offer 80,000 sqm.
