Private healthcare group Regina Maria has just added the Helios Medical Center in Craiova to its growing network. The transaction value has not been disclosed, but representatives of Regina Maria said they plan to invest €1m to modernize the medical center. The deal comes on the heels of Regina Maria’s takeover of Ponderas Hospital in Bucharest.
“We don’t look for volumes, but for strategic deals, which reinforces our leadership position in a particular region or our leadership in the quality area. As in Craiova, we already have a clinic, opened two years ago, that is going well. By taking Helios we are strengthening our position in Dolj County,” said Fady Chreih, CEO of Regina Maria.
