According to a luxury real estate rating by Penny Lane Realty, the most expensive country house in the suburbs of Moscow is leasing for $80,000 per month. The house offers 1,300 sqm and is located in the village of Nikolskaya Sloboda on the Novorizhskoe highway. The house offers not just a wine cellar, gym, and a private cinema but also a refrigerator for furs. The second most expensive mansion is a 900 sqm home in the village of Landshaft on Rublevo-Uspensky highway which goes for for $72,000 per month. It’s followed by an 850 sqm house in the village Zelenyi Shum on the Novorizhskoe highway which is available for $55,000 per month.
These top three homes have led the market since October 2015. Now, however, they are more expensive in rubles as a result of the fall in value of the Russian currency. According to Penny Lane Realty’s suburban rental head Tatiana Chernykh, this suggests that rental prices are in flux as upkeep and maintenance will make them unprofitable.
