DCN to build EU’s tallest skyscraper

15 April 2016

Spanish developer Distrito Castellana Norte (DCN) is planning to build the tallest skyscraper in the European Union. The company’s flagship project will be located in Madrid’s Chamartin district and will be part of a larger six-tower complex. The project has not yet been granted an official municipal licence yet, but according to market sources, the plan only needs approval from Town Hall and not the Ministry of Development. An answer is expected before the end of the year. DCN is planning to invest €6bn in the project, which is expected to create 120,000 new jobs.
