Union Investment buys Skanska’s 101 Seaport office building in Boston

USA Commercial Development for $425 million. The 17-story, 440,000 sqf LEED Platinum office building is also home to Skanska’s Boston office. The building draws more than 3,000 professionals to the district each day with tenants such as PwC and Red Thread/Steelcase. 101 Seaport technologies include a green roofing and rainwater harvesting system, and Boston’s first use of a chilled-beam cooling system. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Skanska on the sale as well as its lease back of office space.
