Despite concern over recent political changes, Poland remains a safe target for German investors, claims Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (“FAZ”). In fact, claims the daily, the Polish market has actually grown stronger in recent years, becoming a key driver for the region.
Germany remain Poland’s top business partner, with exports amounting to €48.5bn last year, an 11-percent increase year-on-year. At the same time, the German businesses exported a total of €40bn last year, making Poland their seventh most important market. “Politics haven’t spooked investors yet,” claims FAZ, reminding readers that with its 38 million citizens, Poland is CEE’s biggest market. The newspaper points out that EU subsidies helped Poland to develop into a mature market in recent years, together with foreign private capital.
