Slovak construction managers foresee 3.7% growth for 2016

Slovak construction sector should grow 3.7 percent, according to a survey concluded by CEEC Research of 100 respondents. In 2017, they predict that growth will slow to 2.1 percent growth. Their answers suggest growing confidence since the end of 2015, when they had predicted growth of just 2.5 percent this year. Revenues should increase by 6.2 percent on average in 2016, while they should grow by 3.7 percent in 2017. Three-quarters of the managers believe their turnover will grow thanks to new orders, while just 10 percent envision expanding to new segments of the market. Approximately 25 percent of the contractors are considering a price increase of around 9 percent according to CEEC. The Slovak Statistical Office reported that construction prices grew by 1.8 percent in 2015.
