Air carrier SmartWings starts a new line from Leoš Janáček Ostrava airport in Mošnov to Dubai. SmartWings claims the destination is one of the most popular among travellers from the Moravia-Silesia region. The direct line will start operation in late September, flying twice per week using a Boeing 737. The aircraft will start from Ostrava at 10:00, landing in Dubai at 17:45. Mošnov airport already offers direct connections to London and Düsseldorf. The owner of the airport, Moravia-Silesia region, also aims to set up direct connection to Finland and The Netherlands.
