Sensata Technologies, which producers sensors for the automotive industry, is investing more than €35m to build a new facility near Plovdiv. “We chose the industrial zone Maritza for our second major investment in Bulgaria because of its excellent geo-location and well-developed infrastructure,” the American company said in a statement.
The plant will go up on an 6,800 sqm plot, near the Trakia Highway. The first phase of the project includes a production plant and an office building, with a gross floor area of 10,500 sqm. Completion is set for early 2018. Sensata Technologies operates 12 plants and has more than 17,000 employees worldwide.
