Hard Rock Cafe opens in Porto

1 April 2016

The Hard Rock Cafe chain will be opening a new restaurant in Porto in a fully restored 6-storey building following an investment of €5m. The new café, to be located in a building known as Prestige, will create at least 60 new jobs. The 19th century Prestige building was previously occupied by the Banco de Portugal (Portugal’s Bank), but even after the current renovations will retain its original facade and interior architectural features which offer an abundance of natural light. The opening is expected to take place in June or July this year. Hard Rock Café’s first Portuguese restaurant opened in 2003 in Lisbon.
