The Austrian company A-Heat, which financed the thermal wellness center Therme in Bucharest, is adding an additional €6m in its expansion. The company will expand the area called Galaxy in an investment that’s been completed six months sooner than was originally planned, according to Christian Weiser, CEO of A-Heat. The deadline for completion is the end of June.
Therme opened to the public in January. According to Therme representatives, the center is the largest of its kind in Europe to have been built from scratch. The €50m investment has resulted in a 30,000 sqm center that’s operated by the group Wund. Therme Bucharest is located 15 km from the capital, in the town of Baloteşti.
