According to a report from the United States Census Bureau, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro area now has more than 6 million inhabitants. The metro area added approximately 75,000 people between 2014 and 2015 and is now one of eight major metro areas to exceed 6 million. A majority of the growth came from international migration.
