Lighting equipment manufacturer Osram announced that it plans to build a new factory in Trakia Economic Zone of Plovdiv, in Bulgaria’s second-largest city. The facility will be delivered in 2017 and will employ 900 people.
The Munich-based Osram reported revenues of nearly €5.6bn in its last financial year (ending September 30, 2015) which was an increase of 8.4 percent compared to the previous financial year. The group employs approximately 33,100 people in 120 countries worldwide.
