Riga suburban residential prices down 2% in February

Prices for standard-design apartments in Riga’s suburbs fell by 2 percent m-o-m in February, according to the Latvian Real Estate Dealers Association (LANIDA). Prices for apartments on Riga’s secondary market decreased by 7 percent, while prices in the Riga region were up by 2 percent. Prices for units in new projects in the capital’s city center dropped by 2 percent last month, while prices in the suburbs were up by 5 percent and prices for units in new projects in the region fell by 2.5 percent, according to the LANIDA data. The average price for units in new projects in the city center was €2,700 per sqm, €1,300/sqm in the suburbs and €878/sqm in the region. Meanwhile, the average price for secondary market apartments was €1,400/sqm in the center, €675/sqm in the suburbs and €532/sqm in the region
