Shopping Nova Arcada opens in Braga after six year delay

18 March 2016

Portugal’s Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral says the opening of the Nova Arcada shopping center in Braga illustrates the return of dynamism and confidence to Portugal’s economy. He made the comments the day after the state budget for 2016 was approved. The new shopping center, which opened March 17 after a delay of six years, features an IKEA store. “It’s a good example of a firm perspective to market and produce in Portugal,” said the minister. Nova Arcada offers 68,500 sqm of retail space, with 109 shops, following an investment of €160m.
