The Municipal Chamber of Lisbon will create the a new residential leasing package exclusively for young people. For now, 24 buildings in Ajuda – Lisbon will be made available for rent, but the aim of the Lisbon City Council is to extend the project to other parts of the city. The 24 properties are being renovated and will then be put up for lease under the scheme. The Agreed Income program offers cheaper rents than standard market level rents. The project was created in response to requests for social housing for people who can’t afford current rents available on the open market.
