Tele2 invests €700,000 to expand mobile network in Latvia

Latvian telecommunications operator Tele2 invested €700,000 to establish 100 new 4G+ and 4G++ stations around the country, according to local news reports. The company, a member of the Swedish Tele2 AB group, spent €11.5m on its expansion efforts last year and is planning to open 15 new client service centers in 2016. It reported a turnover of €100.4m last year, up 1 percent from the previous year.
The Tele2 4G+ network operates in Bauska, Cesis, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Olaine, Jekabpils, Jurmala, Kegums, Liepaja, Limbazi, Ogre, Rezekne, Riga, Saldus, Sigulda, Talsi, Valmiera, Ventspils and Preili. Its 4G++ network operates in Riga, Rezekne and Daugavpils.
