GeddesKaňka – New Interior for the James Cook Languages Offices

15 March 2016

GeddesKaňka was appointed to design the interior of the new James Cook Language School’s offices in the Florentinum in Prague. The design is based on an industrial look, with exposed blue-painted steel work (the company colour) and a concrete face. It includes a built-in mezzanine to give an additional usable area that also enables separation into individual working zones.

The brief asked for open space with a number of living space areas – these are indicated by using a different (orange) carpet pattern. It also needed to have a ‘BuzziSpace’ acoustic interior fit out to allow for a more comfortable working environment and had to incorporate the building’s developer’s overall standards.
