GeddesKaňka makes two new additions to its Prague office

GeddesKaňka s.r.o., the Czech and British-owned architectural practice based in Prague, Smichov, has announced today the addition of two new colleagues to its Prague-based office; Ing. arch. Jiří Hejl and Ing. et Bc. Václav Dvořák.

Jiří Hejl (32) joins GeddesKaňka as an architect after 6 years of working as a deputy to the Lost Arch studio’s owner, under the leadership of Ing. Vratko Vavrek. Whilst he was working there Jiří gained significant experience in the architectural business, having worked with the company since it was established. During that time he also worked on several different projects as an independent architectural advisor and designer.

Before joining Lost Arch s.r.o., Jiri was studying at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, and working as an intern in a number of different architectural ateliers, including the well-known Ian Bryan Architects and the atelier of Ing. akad. arch. Hana Zachová in Prague.

In addition to his native Czech, Jiří speaks fluent English and some French. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, sport and music. He is married with 2 children.

Václav Dvořák (34) joins GeddesKaňka as a head engineer, having previously gained more than 10 years’ experience working on a number of different projects for the AV 19 studio (formerly the Atelier Všehrdova 19). During that time his work included not only the designing of residential houses, but also the restoration of significant Czech landmarks, such as the Loreta in Prague and the Panna Marie pilgrimage site at Bílá Hora.

Václav studied at the Czech Technical University – Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies, whilst finishing his studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Václav is a native Czech and is fluent in English. His main hobbies are outdoor sports, travelling and reading. He is married without children.
