Jaguar Land Rover will use a new railway hub for its new Slovak manufacturing plant in Nitra. The hub is to be built in the northwest part of Priemyselny park Nitra Sever and is scheduled for completion in early 2018. A tender is currently underway by Slovak Railways for the contractor who will build the facility. The estimated costs are expected to run in the vicinity of €40.3m. The hub will offer six railway tracks 700-750m long. The hub will be connected to the railway network through the Lužianky station. Land Rover plans to transport 80 percent of its goods on railway.
