Cristiano Ronaldo will be opening two hotels in Portugal in partnership with the Pestana Group, following through on an announcement nine months ago of his intention to enter the hotel industry. One of the luxury hotels will be located in the Praça do Mar, Madeira, which is where the Portuguese football striker was born. The other will be in the Comércio street in Lisbon. Due to open this summer, the two hotels represent a total investment of €15m. Ronaldo plans to open a further two hotels outside of Portugal, in Madrid and in New York.
