Three of the most famous clubs of Lisbon will close in April 14. The building housing the Jamaica, Tokio and Europa clubs has been vacated and the its owners intend to build a hotel following reconstruction. One of the clubs will be allowed to re-open (Jamaica) but this is only on condition that it end its lawsuit against the building’s owner and that its rent of €200 be increased. In 2011, the three clubs closed for the first time after fears emerged that the building would collapse. They re-opened after some construction work was carried out.
