The PARC Group, the developers of Nocatee’s Twenty Mile neighborhood, have donated land for the construction of a new K-8th grade. The company has also donated land for yet to be designed Valley Ridge Academy and Ponte Vedra High School. Nocatee is located in Ponte Vedra, Florida, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Once completed, the community is expected to have 13,000 homes and up to 1 million sq ft of retail, 4 million sq ft of office space and nine public schools. Almost two-thirds of the land, approximately 13,323 acres, will be placed in preservation and protected. The k-8 school is slated to start construction this spring in order to be ready for the 2017-18 school year.
“Education is an important cornerstone of the Nocatee lifestyle,” said Greg Barbour, chief operating officer of The PARC Group. “This new school reinforces that the Nocatee lifestyle and incorporates all of its residents’ needs, from education to health, wellness, recreation, worship, employment, and more.”
