Orlando-based Hard Rock International has announced a partnership with China-based Luneng Real Estate Group to develop a property in Dalian, which lies along the Yellow Sea in China’s northeastern Liaoning Province. The new 200 room project, Hard Rock Hotel Dalian. The city is regarded as one of China’s major tourist destinations, drawing more than 5 million visitors annually. The property will be Hard Rock’s third hotel on mainland China when it is completed in 2018. “With the Chinese travel industry quickly changing as leisure demand grows, we feel the music-centric programming at Hard Rock Hotels will resonate well with Chinese travelers who visit Dalian each year,” said Leong Wy Joon, senior vice president of hotel development for Asia and India at Hard Rock International.
