Russian Alfa Bank backs away from Zuno takeover

ABH Holdings will not buy Zuno, an internet bank owned by Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). The Russian group gave no reason for its withdrawal from the take-over. The internet bank employed 200 staff by the end of 2015 and had a clientele of 255,000 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It had €775m in deposits and a loan portfolio worth €75m. ABH Holdings is connected to Alfa Banking Group, operating in The Netherlands, UK, Russia, Ukraine, Belarussia and Cyprus.
