In the resort town of Batumi, located in Georgia, construction has finished on the Hilton Batumi Hotel & Belle Vue Residence. Made up of two 20-story towers along the shore of the Black sea, the hotel is located near popular city attractions such as Lake Nuri, the Archaeology Museum, the Dolphinarium, the circus and the city’s zoo. Room rates run from $2,700 to $4,000, with the largest units stretching to 750 sqm. Hilton manages the complex, and is hoping to benefit from the drying up of popular tourist destinations such as Turkey and Egypt and the rising price of the dollar and the euro. Visa-free travel for Russian is expected to help drive traffic to the facility, as Interfax reports that the flow of Russian citizens to Georgia grew 15 percent over the first 8 months of 2015.
