€1.4m investment planned for South Macedonian distribution center

26 February 2016

A refrigerated distribution center for fruit and vegetables is being built by Ledra Agro in the Gevgelija village of Negorci, south Macedonia. The investment will cost around €1.4m and is receiving co-funding from IPARD funds (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in Rural Development – European funds). The new 2,000 sqm center will employ over 30 people.

“The investment shows that more and more farmers are interested to use funds from the program (…) It is also very important for the region because it is one of a kind,” said Biljana Vukovic, director of the Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development.
