EBRD provides €300m for Bosnian highway construction

26 February 2016

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide €300m for the construction of a new highway in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic discussed the matter at an EBRD investment conference, held this week in London. The €300m will be deployed within the next three years.

“From this year, the EBRD will increase funding of the energy sector, however, it is necessary to harmonize strategies in the field of transport and energy sectors in order for BiH not to lose money anymore,” Bosnia’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic. “Without a strategy and projects there are no investments,” he added.
