A 307-room Moxy hotel in the Gateway Gardens commercial quarter at Frankfurt International Airport is scheduled for completion later this year. The hotel is being developed by Vastint Hospitality and Marriott International, while Industriebau Imetaal is overseeing the construction. It will offer 51 underground parking spots. Moxy Frankfurt Gateway Gardens will be managed by Nordic Hospitality.
“We are delighted to have won over Vastint and Marriott for our city quarter,” said Kerstin Hennig, managing director of Grundstücksgesellschaft Gateway Gardens. “With a view to the current and future passenger volumes at the airport, the hotel is urgently needed.”
Gateway Gardens has a projected gross floor area of 700,000 sqm spanning 35 ha. In October 2014, Gateway Gardens became the first commercial quarter to be certified for its sustainability by the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council. Since the completion of the first building at Gateway Gardens in 2008, 34 percent of the space have already been marketed.
